SAGLE, Idaho — Firefighters in Sagle rescued two people who were trapped in their car after it crashed into a shed on Thursday.

Selkirk Fire Rescue & EMS said firefighters were dispatched to a major accident on Thursday, Oct. 2, at about 1:45 p.m. Firefighters who arrived on scene found a vehicle that had crashed through a shed, power pole, and into a building.

Selkirk Fire said two people were trapped in the vehicle and required extrication, and that the stability of the building was compromised by the damage.

Firefighters used the mechanical rescue tool to remove the driver’s side rear door and extricate the people from the vehicle. Both people were treated by Bonner County EMS and transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
