WICHITA, Kan. – Kansas Department of Corrections resident Kevin Vester was placed on escape status at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 3, after not returning to the facility from his work release job this evening.

Vester, a 55 year old African American male, is currently at large. This walkaway does not impact the security or operations of Wichita Work Release Facility.
