Apple has removed apps from its App Store that tracked sightings of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. The decision followed a Department of Justice request, after the Trump administration argued the apps endangered ICE agents. One of the affected developers, ICE-Block, pushed back, calling the claim “patently false.” The apps had been available since spring before Apple’s removal.
