Any time there's a moment the Urbandale football program needs an example of what working hard can do, they point to senior Jackson Sturdivant.
In a 56-7 win over Sioux City North on Friday, Oct. 3, the senior running back and defensive back ran for three touchdowns in addition to his steady role on defense to help the J-Hawks improve to 3-3 on the year. His performance proved why head coach Pete Traynor calls him the type of guy anyone would want in their program. He does as he is asked, he leads by example and he never quits when the going gets tough.
Perhaps nothing exemplifies Sturdivant's efforts more than how he came into his senior campaign. In the first game of his junior year, Sturdivant broke his collarbone, sidelining him for the rest of the season. Instead of hanging his he
