KINGSPORT — Two plays swung the night in Kingsport.

Those two plays went in Dobyns-Bennett’s favor.

In a battle for control in Region 1-6A, the Indians scored 21 unanswered points and outlasted Jefferson County 21-14.

“Somebody's gonna make four or five plays on both sides of the ball that'll win it or lose your football game,” Patriots head coach Spencer Riley said. “And that's called playing the game, lacing your shoes up, buckling your helmet tight, and just going and strapping it up and playing.”

Knotted at 14 to open the second half, D-B return man Zabian Goodwin shot right up the middle and went 98 yards to the house.
