OLD TOWN -- The Old Town Coyotes football team picked up a huge win over the Hampden Academy Broncos by a score of 49-20 on Friday night.

After being neck and neck to start the first quarter, the Coyotes started to pull away. On a third and long play, Old Town QB Ethan Closson scrambled until he found Alex Bean who fought for the first down. Following that conversion, it set up Charlie Degrasse who found the end zone as Old Town took a touchdown lead.

After forcing a turnover on downs, Old Town again drove down the field, where Brandon Schanz had a wide open hole on a reverse, taking it into the end zone for another Coyotes touchdown.

Old Town (2-3) travels to Nokomis next Saturday, while Hampden Academy (0-5) hosts Foxcroft Academy next Saturday.
