EAST LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) - On Friday, the Michigan State hockey team played in front of its fans for the first time since last season.

The Spartans took down Windsor, 3-0, in an exhibition at Munn Ice Arena.

Freshman Porter Martone started the scoring just seconds into the game to get the home crowd rocking.

MSU would then pour it on in the second period. Junior Tommi Mannisto, senior Charlie Stramel and freshman Ryker Lee all scored to make it 4-0 Spartans.

The season-opener for the Spartans will be on Thursday against New Hampshire at Munn Ice Arena.
