RICHLAND, Wash. – In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a flag was raised at Kadlec to honor survivors and remember those who lost their lives to the disease.

Jenna Boogerd, a breast cancer survivor, shared her story at the event, expressing gratitude to her doctor at Kadlec who took her concerns seriously.

Friends suggested she consult Dr. John Drosch, a specialist at Kadlec. A biopsy confirmed her suspicions, leading to a bilateral mastectomy nearly six months ago. She has since begun reconstruction.
