SOMERVILLE, Texas (KBTX) - The Iola Bulldogs (3-2) beat the Somerville Yeguas (3-2) 50-33 on Friday night. Here’s a rapid recap:

Why did Iola win? Despite a slow start to the first quarter, the Bulldogs were able to overcome a two-touchdown deficit, taking the lead 19-14 lead at the end of the first half. Iola able to keep the momentum rolling through the second to pick up the win over Somerville.

Standout performance: Sophomore tight end, Colin Fowler, picked up the first touch of this game. A 72-yarder from the sophomore to get the ball rolling for the Bulldogs.

(Honorable mention: Luke Klingler’s daughter, Landree! She spent the game cheering on the sidelines in her Yeguas cheerleading uniform.)
