Star New South Wales pacer Henry Thornton was recently hospitalised with food poisoning in Kanpur, where he is playing for Australia A in a four-match one-day unofficial series against India A. Suffering from a severe stomach infection, Thornton was admitted to Regency Hospital in Kanpur and kept under observation for two days.

As per team sources, Thornton developed gastrointestinal problems after consuming food at the team hotel. The local team management kept a close watch on his condition, but the infection’s severity required immediate hospitalisation, where senior doctors provided treatment.
