The Heritage football team started the 2024 season under the weight of a 22-game losing streak.

Now, Heritage will finish the 2025 season with a winning record.

The Timberwolves guaranteed that with a 14-6 win over Shelton on Friday at McKenzie Stadium for the first 5-0 start in program history.

It didn’t come easy. Heritage overcame three turnovers and stopped a potential go-ahead two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.

Having seen just three wins and 24 losses in his first three years, senior linebacker Isaiah James is relishing Heritage’s winning ways.
