The Odisha government will construct a modern disaster response building near Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

The project will cost ₹200 crore and finish within two years. Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari shared the plan publicly.

The building will house the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Fire Services, and Meteorology departments under one roof. Officials will coordinate emergency responses faster and more efficiently.

The hub will feature advanced disaster management technology. Odisha will collaborate with the central government to bring cutting-edge tools and systems. The goal is to improve readiness for floods, cyclones, and other natural calamities.
