On his team’s first offensive play, Nitro quarterback Eian Duffy threw a 55-yard touchdown pass to Luke Shafer six seconds into the game against Point Pleasant.
It was that kind of night for Duffy and the Wildcats, as the senior passed for 388 yards and five touchdowns in Nitro’s 49-13 win over the Black Knights on homecoming Friday at Underwood Field.

Four of the five touchdown passes for Duffy were long ones, covering 55, 55, 89 and 75 yards. He spread the wealth, as four different Nitro receivers had at least 73 yards, and he finished 11 of 17 passing with two interceptions.
