WESTWOOD — The Escanaba girls tennis team finished in fourth place at the U.P. Tennis Finals in Westwood with five points here Wednesday. Negaunee won the U.P. Finals with 19 points just edging Westwood who finished with 18 points. Marquette was third with six points and finishing behind Escanaba was Kingsford who finished fifth with four points and

The Eskymos best performance of the day came at No. 1 doubles as Aubrey Elliott and Brooklyn Hackelman won their semi-final match over Kaylin Doney and Niila Nurmi of Westwood 6-, 6-3, to advance to the finals against Negaunee where they lost in three sets 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.

Escanaba made it to the semifinals in the other three doubles matches. At No. 2, doubles Sophie Hill and Isabella Noblet knocked off Marquette’s Kylie Smith and Logan McFarr
