New Delhi: Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has announced that he is planning huge data centres in space that will produce gigawatts of power in the next decade or two. He told Italian Tech Week in Turin that the orbital data centres would be superior to ground-based ones because they will have permanent access to solar energy and will not be disrupted by adverse weather conditions. “These massive training stations will be constructed more effectively in space, as we have solar energy there 24/7. The weather is sunny, with no clouds, no precipitation, and no weather,” according to Bezos.
