When The Southern River Band landed in London on their first European tour in 2024, they travelled to their accommodation, dumped their bags and got on the Tube. They were excited to be there, but nerves were high. It was their first time outside of Australia.

How would the other side of the world react to a pub rock band from the suburbs of Perth?

The band jumped off the Tube at Camden station and stopped in their tracks — right in front of them was a giant poster advertising their London show with a big sticker over the top: Sold Out.

“So the first notable thing we see in f...ing London was that,” The Southern River Band’s frontman Callum Kramer says. “Everyone was just hugging and being like ‘I love you man’. It was an amazing feeling.”
