BELAGAVI: The police have arrested 11 people and registered a case against 50 unknown persons after a stone-pelting incident in Khadak Galli area in the city on Friday evening, leading to tension.

The incident occurred during a religious procession when a group of people deviated from the designated route and entered Khadak Galli, leading to a clash between the two communities. Two groups indulged in stone-pelting leading to tension, but there were no injuries. The police have registered a case and taken 11 people into custody for questioning.
