ST. LOUIS -- Police are investigating a deadly shooting in South St. Louis that occurred early this morning.

Officers responded to the 3800 block of Tesson, near I-55 and Grant's Trail, around 5 a.m., where they discovered a man who had been shot and killed.

Homicide detectives are currently on the scene, working to gather evidence and determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
