Rama Kankonkar in his statement to Panaji police said:

I say that said Minguel attacked me on two occasions prior to this incident/attack. This happened when I was on bail in Panaji PS crime and as per bail order, I was reporting to Panaji PS in between 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs. It was around 2nd or 3rd day of my reporting time I was going back to my house and when I reached near cross, opposite nursing college bambolim, Minguel along with one more person dashed my car from behind on right side and damaged the bumper and started arguing with me as to why I have not given side light when I was taking left turn where as my left side light was blinking. However, I was abiding with bail condition And I don’t want to make any issue.
