SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - Highs neared 90 degrees on Thursday and Friday. That summer-like heat will continue Saturday.

SATURDAY

Hot and windy. Temperatures peak near 90 degrees which is just shy today’s record high temperature of 92 from 1938. A southerly wind could gust up to 40mph.

The heat, wind, dry air and dry vegetation will lead to an elevated fire danger. A Red Flag Warning is in effect from 12pm-10pm in Holt County. While that is the only county under a Red Flag Warning, the fire danger is high for everyone. Outdoor burning is not recommended as fires could spread quickly.

SATURDAY NIGHT

Strong wind gusts up to 45mph. Very mild. Lows in the mid-60s. A few showers are possible in western Siouxland.
