Sheffield Wednesday's match against Coventry had to be stopped after a mass pitch invasion.

A number of Owls fans ran onto the field at the same time at Hillsborough in protest against the club's owner, Dejphon Chansiri. Championship match stopped as fans invade pitch ten minutes after kick-off

After 10 minutes of the Championship clash, during which Coventry had already taken a 1-0 lead, the game was suspended.

Wednesday captain Barry Bannan asked some fans to leave the pitch at the time, however, his efforts were in vain.

Both sets of players were taken to the side of the pitch by the referee as security dealt with those who invaded.

Others who remained in their seats chanted 'Dejphon Chansiri, get out of our club' as the invaders were removed.
