A Hyderabad student pursuing Master’s degree in the United States was shot dead while working part-time at a gas station in Denton, Texas, on Friday (October 3, 2025) night.

The victim, 28-year-old Pole Chandrashekar, hailed from L.B. Nagar in Hyderabad. Born on April 4, 1997, he had completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery before moving to the United States to pursue higher education. He was enrolled in a Master’s programme in Data Analytics at the University of North Texas, Dallas.

According to details available on his professional profile, Chandrashekar had been working as a Senior Data Analyst at GEICO on a part-time basis since August 2024.
