Injury-cursed Essendon big man Sam Draper’s paperwork to join Brisbane has been officially lodged.

As an unrestricted free agent, the Bombers have no right to match and Draper, 27, immediately becomes a Lion.

In return, Essendon will receive end-of-first-round compensation for Draper, which currently sits at pick 20.

Meanwhile, 7NEWS sports reporter Xander McGuire has revealed that Collingwood forward Brody Mihocek is moving to Melbourne on a two-year deal.

Mihocek played 159 games across eight seasons in the black and white and kicked 47 goals as a key member of Collingwood’s 2023 premiership.

He will bring valuable experience to a rebuilding Demons outfit led by new coach Stephen King.
