LIVE FROM NEW YORK — Tonight’s the night.
The wait is officially over as “Saturday Night Live” will premiere its 51st season tonight, Oct. 4, with musician Bad Bunny as host and musical guest Doja Cat helping to kick off the festivities.
Bad Bunny, often called the King of Latin Trap, first rose to prominence following the release of his 2016 single “Soy Peor” and reached global mainstream fame with his feature on Cardi B’s 2018 hit “I Like It.” This will mark the musician’s second time hosting “SNL” and first time hosting without also handling the music, though he’s appeared on the show several times .
Queen of Pop-Rap Doja Cat, whose fifth album “Vie” dropped Sept. 26, will make her “SNL” debut during the premiere.
