The prolific Desert Chapel offense is well-documented, but it was the Eagles' defense that helped them produce their first win of the season Thursday night.
The Eagles pitched their first shutout as an 11-man team, taking down California Military Institute 21-0 at home on Thursday.
Even without star receiver Jayvon Garcia who missed his third straight game with an injury, quarterback Sam Mourhess threw for 261 yards and three touchdowns, connecting with eight different receivers. Mourhess also had 47 yards rushing.
Kicker Michel De La Rocha was 3-for-3 on extra points.
Desert Chapel's win means all 15 valley teams have at least one win so far this season.
