SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Saturday will mark the first time that Notre Dame has played Boise State, so casual Irish fans may not know that the Broncos are actually one of the most successful teams in recent college football history.

While they are a Group of Five program, they have a more accomplished history than many power conference schools.

Since 2000, the Broncos have 263 wins, which is tied with Oklahoma for third in the country. They’ve won the Fiesta Bowl three times and finished in the top 10 four different times.

Now this season, they’re 3-1. And after an opening week loss to South Florida, they’ve ripped off three straight wins.
