Four others sustained injuries in the accident

Three 13-year-old and a 19-year-old died in a tragic road accident on Saturday in Thadrang village under Mawlasnai Police Outpost, Ri-Bhoi district.

Four others sustained injuries in the accident.

The incident occurred when a mini tipper truck travelling from Jowai towards Bhoirymbong, lost control and hit a group of people at Thadrang village. Following the collision, the vehicle capsized, causing serious injuries to the driver and the helper.

The deceased have been identified as:

• Phibanpyntngen Rynjah (13 years)

• Lashimti Nongrum (13 years)

• Theresa Nongrum (19 years)

• Ridahunlang Nongrum (13 years)

The bodies were handed over to the respective families after post-mortem examination.
