New Orleans police investigated a double shooting that killed two people Saturday morning in Little Woods.

Police responded to a shooting in the 7200 block of Cannonbury Drive at around 7:35 a.m. Saturday. They found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical services pronounced them dead on the scene. No other information was immediately available.

Police initially classified the shootings as homicides but said at 9:30 p.m. that it was not clear whether both killings were homicides.
