Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman and Oklahoma All-American Bill Krisher has died. Krisher died on July 29 in Dallas, Texas. He was 89.
Drafted in the third-round of the 1958 NFL Draft, Krisher, a native of Midwest City, Oklahoma, played just one season for the Steelers. After being cut by the team, he went back to Oklahoma to finish his degree before trying his hand out in another league.
He played two seasons in 1960 and 1961 with the Dallas Texans of the AFL, being selected All-AFL two straight seasons.
After that, Krisher did not play professional football, but he still stood out as one of the better players of the era in collegiate football.
Krisher was a two-time National Champion with the Sooners, and was a consensus All-American in 1957. He is long thought to be
