Dare County Schools announces leadership changes at Manteo Elementary, First Flight High

On Sept. 30, the Dare County Schools (DCS) announced that Manteo Elementary School Principal Curtis Price and First Flight High School Assistant Principal Sara Pritchard are swapping jobs. News of the move was first reported by the Outer Banks Insider.

The move comes two weeks after Dare County Schools Superintendent Steve Basnight, in a presentation to the Dare County Board of Education, reported that Manteo Elementary was the only school in the county to receive a D grade in the state’s assessment of the 2024-2025 school year.
