With Game 1 of their American League Division Series mere hours away, the Blue Jays have announced that their 26-man roster will be without three of the team’s biggest names.

While none of the absentees are a surprise, the fact that the team will be without starting pitchers Max Scherzer (who has struggled lately), Chris Bassitt (who was on the injured list with back issues) and shortstop Bo Bichette (who is still immobilized with a left knee sprain) it’s a threesome of prominent Blue Jays that won’t be in action until the ALCS at the earliest, should the team advance.

The best-of-five series against the Yankees gets underway on Saturday at 4:08 p.m., with the first two games being played at the Rogers Centre. Major League Baseball also announced that with gorgeous summer-like conditions
