Gardner-Webb football looks to score a North/South BBQ Bowl victory Saturday, Oct. 4, the Runnin’ Bulldogs hosting longtime adversary Charleston Southern.

Kickoff is at 1:30 p.m. at Ernest W. Spangler Stadium in Boiling Springs.

Gardner-Webb comes in with a 2-2 record, its wins over Western Carolina and The Citadel. The Runnin’ Bulldogs fell in their last outing two weeks ago, losing a shootout at Ohio, 52-35.

Saturday’s game serves as Gardner-Webb’s Big South-OVC league opener.

Charleston Southern is 1-4, 0-1 in conference play. The Buccaneers knocked off SC State 31-24 last week for their first victory of the 2025 campaign.
