The competition may have only just got underway but the Strictly Come Dancing for 2025 has been 'named' as a total of five frontrunners emerge.

The hit BBC One dance show returned to screens in September with the pre-recorded launch show, which saw the 15 new celebrity contestants welcomed to the ballroom for the first time.

It was then that they were seen discovering their professional partners for the 2025 series, before week on of the competition took place last Saturday (September 27).

There was a slight safety net as the scores, while carried over into week two, didn't determine anything during the first week as there was no dance-off or elimination, as that will take place this Sunday (October 5) following week two of Strictly's 23rd series on Saturday (October 4)
