Manchester United clinched a crucial victory over Sunderland at Old Trafford on Saturday , alleviating some of the pressure on beleaguered manager Ruben Amorim. ‌

There had been reports ahead of kick off that the Red Devils were looking to part ways with Amorim , should he drop more points in the Premier Leagie. ‌

First-half goals from Mason Mount and Benjamin Sesko secured the three points for United, propelling them six places up to eighth in the Premier League ahead of the international break. ‌
