HICKORY, N.C. — A Newton man was arrested and charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting outside a Hickory bar Friday night, police said.

Lamonte Keshawn Ramseur was taken into custody following the shooting that left one man dead and another injured in the back parking lot of Windy City Sundries.

Officers responded to reports of gunshots at around 11:13 p.m. and found two men suffering from gunshot wounds, according to the Hickory Police Department.

Corbin David, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, Tanner Hutchinson, 23, was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators determined that Ramseur, Davis and Hutchinson knew each other, police said.

Ramseur was arrested with assistance from the Catawba County Sheriff
