Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd has spilled the beans on why fans won't be seeing him strut his stuff on Strictly Come Dancing .

The actor, who has been playing David Platt in the ITV soap since 2000, admitted he's open to various reality TV gigs, but Strictly is a no-go due to channel rivalries.

In a chat with the Daily Star at the National Television Awards, Jack confessed: "I wouldn't ever want to do Dancing On Ice, but that's finished now.

"But Strictly Come Dancing n o, that's on BBC , you have to leave ITV for that."
