Fort Collins’ Poudre School District was rated as the eighth-best school district in Colorado and No. 3 among the state’s 15 largest districts by Niche in its 2026 Best Schools and Districts in America rankings.
Weld RE-4 School District, which serves Windsor, Severance and west Greeley, was No. 27 in the rankings, and the Loveland-based Thompson School District was No. 38. Niche included 162 of the state’s 178 school districts in its annual rankings of K-12 schools and districts throughout the country.
