NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The community came together this weekend for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, filling North Charleston with energy, hope, and plenty of pink.

The goal of the event was to raise awareness and funds to support people impacted by breast cancer.

Participants from all over the country gathered early Saturday morning for the two-mile walk celebrating survivors, honoring loved ones, and standing in solidarity with those still fighting.

University of South Carolina student Quinci Evans said the early morning trip was well worth it.
