Political parties in Bihar on Saturday urged the Election Commission of India (ECI) to schedule the state Assembly elections immediately after the Chhath festival, which falls on October 28 this year. Parties also recommended that the elections be conducted in the minimum possible phases to ensure smoother voting and counting.
