NEW ORLEANS — Longtime WWL-TV reporter is retiring after 15 years at the station, closing out a decades-long career in journalism that spanned print, television, and teaching.
Perlstein joined WWL in 2009 after more than 20 years as a reporter for The Times-Picayune and as a journalism professor at Loyola University. He began as an investigative producer but quickly transitioned to on-air reporting, becoming a fixture on the station’s investigative team for more than a decade.
Colleagues recalled his transition from print to broadcast. “Let’s just say he doesn’t have a TV bone in his body.
