LENOIR COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, along with other agencies, are actively searching for a missing K9.
Saturday morning, the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office says K9 Fuse, a fully trained police dog with the sheriff’s office, escaped from his kennel. Officials say he walked away from his home on the 1700 block of Institute Road, just off US 258 near the Greene County line.
Since his disappearance, officials from the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Kinston Police Department and Lenoir County Emergency Management have been searching the area for K9 Fuse.
“K-9 Fuse is an essential member of our law enforcement team, and his safe return is a top priority,” the Lenoir County Sherriff’s Office said in a news release.
