NEW YORK (PIX11) -- Former New York Jets quarterback and sportscaster Mark Sanchez is recovering after being injured in Indianapolis, according to a statement from Fox Sports.
Sanchez, 38, is currently in stable condition and recovering in the hospital, a spokesperson for the agency said. How he was injured was not immediately made known.
"We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time,” read the statement from Fox Sports.
Sanchez, who currently serves as a sports analyst for Fox, rose to fame as a former USC star and first-round pick for the Jets in 2010. As quarterback, he led the team to the AFC championship in each of his f
