Cardinals' Chaim Bloom looking to shake up pro scouting department

The St. Louis Cardinals welcomed Chaim Bloom as their newest president of baseball operations earlier this week. He took over for John Mozeliak, who stepped down at the end of the season.

Bloom has a ton on his plate going into the 2026 season. He is tasked with putting together a better product to hopefully bring fans back into Busch Stadium and get them to passionately care for this team once again.

He has already made some coaching changes, hiring Brant Brown to be the new hitting coach, Jon Jay as a coach, and Willie McGee as special assistant to Bloom. However, Bloom added another item to his list of things to do.
