Scott Brown hailed Ayr's defensive masterclass as they blunted unbeaten St Johnstone. ‌

United grafted for a well earned point at McDiarmid Park, with the runaway league leaders failing to register a shot on target. ‌

A delighted Brown said: "For 90 minutes, we enjoyed defending. St Johnstone had scored the most goals, had the most shots and got the most flair in the final third. ‌

“But we defended exceptionally and frustrated them. The way we defended was really good man for man.
