Queen’s trailed by four points in the fourth quarter, but behind Jared Chisari’s running, the Gaels rallied to beat the University of Guelph 27-17 Saturday afternoon at the Gryphon Alumni Stadium.

In their homecoming game, the Gryphons took the 17-13 lead on a headfirst dive into end zone by quarterback Marshall McCray from the two-yard line with less than seven minutes left in regulation.

But down the stretch the Gaels relied on halfback Chisari’s running and receiving to head off an upset—coming into the contest, U Sports’ national rankings had Queen’s slotted at No. 7, while Guelph had won only two of its first six games.
