A Gadsden woman has died after a traffic crash in Etowah County on Thursday.
It happened shortly after 7 p.m. on U.S. 411, about four miles north of Gadsden.
Elizabeth B. Barnes, 21, was critically injured when the 2017 Lexus NX she was driving struck the rear of a 1998 Freightliner tractor-trailer, according to troopers.
She was taken to Riverview Medical Center in Gadsden, where she died.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Highway Patrol Division is investigating the crash.
