The Collinsville High boys soccer team entered Saturday morning's game at St. Louis University High in a bit of a funk.

The Kahoks entered at 3-7-1 and lost 8-0 to SLUH and 2-1 to Parkway South to open the Junior Billiken Showcase, an eight-team event that wrapped up Saturday.

Collinsville squared off with Fort Zumwalt South (8-4) to wrap up its week at SLUH. The South Bulldogs beat Mehlville 4-2 and lost 4-1 to Chaminade this week.

"Our schedule is a difficult one and our losses have been to good teams,'' Kahoks coach Rob Lugge said. "Lately, it feels like we've been leaking goals, so a real focus (Saturday) was to defend better and to work more as a team."
