The New York Jets are signing former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Mykal Walker to their active roster. He has played in one game for the team so far this season.
Walker was cut by the Arizona Cardinals as part of their final cuts on August 28. He was signed by the team in March, but will now have a chance to prove he belongs in the league.
Walker, who spent the last season with the Washington Commanders , was with the Steelers for their stretch run in the 2023 season.
After the rash of injuries, Walker ended up playing in eight games and starting in five games for the Steelers . He, along with Elandon Roberts , Mark Robinson, and Myles Jack, cobbled together a group of players that were playing only because of the injuries.
