WILTON, Calif. —

Voters in Wilton are concerned about the lack of voting centers and ballot drop-off boxes for next month's special election, as previous locations like the Wilton Community Center will not be used.

Ken Casparis, a Sacramento County spokesperson, explained the challenges faced in organizing the special election.

"We just didn't have time to find a suitable location for a ballot drop box or a vote center. All of the places that we've used in the past were unavailable or closed," Casparis said.

He noted that for general elections, the county typically has months to prepare, but for this special election, they were given only 18 days to find locations.
