Free Press sports writer Tony Garcia grades Michigan football (4-1, 2-0 Big Ten) after the No. 20 Wolverines' 24-10 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.

The second half saved this grade, as the Wolverines went at least 50 yards on four out of five drives . It wasn’t all perfect, as two of those ended without points, but the other two were capped by touchdowns. True freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood was good, completing 19 of 28 passes for a career-high 270 yards and a touchdown , despite three drops. But his top two receivers, Donaven McCulley (who had six grabs for 112 yards and a TD) and true freshman Andrew Marsh (who made a statement with four grabs for 80 yards in his first extended action), made the difference.
